I am writing to formally complain about the poor service I received during my recent safety recall appointment. A recall notification appeared on my BMW app almost four weeks ago

I booked my slot for 8am when I arrived they told me my car not on their list and had to show them my email. Then they said 'thats fine we can add you to the list. Then I was told I have to wait until afternoon for that. All finished around 2pm.

I attended your workshop for an MOT, as I have done for the past three years. It's quite disappointing. A number of issues were identified and charged at a relatively high cost (£580), but no clear evidence or demonstration of the faults.

BMW had our car from 19.02.26 to 23.02.26. We had agreed to address all the items recommended during the health check conducted in December 2025. However, when we collected the car, we realised that the issues we addressed on 20.02.26 were not fixed.

Overall I was very happy. The telephone system to get through to the service people is a disaster though. I expect to have to press buttons to get to the correct department but to then have more automation is abhorrent and it doesn't even work!

Speedy polite service. Job completed in timeframe stated. The cost however is too high, even for a premier brand like BMW. You charge £22 for 1 litre of oil. This type of gross uplift in a basic car service commodity is irritating.

I was told the car had been tested for any further leaks after spending lots of money on investigating, replacing timing case cover and paying for a vehicle check, but it wasn't tested because I still have leaks. Now car in independent garage
